  • Overview

    BRTRC is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance III (SCA) to lead electronics tasks for SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic) Land Systems Integration (LSI) Division efforts to restore or otherwise integrate C4ISR systems on multiple tactical vehicle platforms. 


    The Electronics Technician Maintenance III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine and advanced problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Tasks include:

    • Seeking guidance from SME 2 and SME 3 management personnel to facilitate timely execution of project specific tasks.
    • Following BRTRC developed detailed instructions to integrate and test C4ISR equipment integrated on tactical platforms.
    • Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications
    • Replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
    • Diagnosing trouble using a variety of test and measurement diagnostic equipment following BRTRC developed procedures

    Provides technical guidance to lower level technicians on BRTRC procedures and technical processess.


    • DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain (clearance preferred)
    • Education: High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

      Experience: Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.

      Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices. Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with the task specific project.
