  • Overview

    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for a Communications Support Services - Intermediate SME role that will provide outstanding strategic communications support to our government customer.  This position will be located in the DC Metro area and is contingent on contract award.   


    • Perform technical writing, marketing, graphic designing, editing, proofreading, notification management, correspondence management and records management in a time-sensitive, Information Technology (IT) driven environment. 
    • Deliver advanced technical writing to design, develop and write accurate, highly-technical, user-friendly, IT communication deliverables. 
    • Design, create and graphically enhance time-sensitive, 508-compliant, communication deliverables and marketing products including, but not limited to, brochures, flyers, photographs, icons, animations, posters, newsletters, correspondence, press releases, briefings, letterhead, reports, white papers, documents, forms, surveys, testimonies, stage props, costumes, invitations, product catalogs, SharePoint content, website content, social media content, video, multi-media and other communication deliverables. 
    • Manage the design layout, color, format, aesthetic quality, objectives, vision and concepts for all communication deliverables. 
    • Design and develop communication deliverables utilizing the full functionalities of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. 
    • Research and coordinate content for communication deliverables from data sources, print resources, digital resources, archives, subject matter experts, organizational professionals, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders and other data sources. 
    • Synthesize research into clear, understandable content that resonates with the specific target audience and achieves the communication objectives. 
    • Develop documents expressing highly-technical, complex and simple concepts, ideas, processes or procedures. 
    • Develop Customer Service Survey questions, forms, reports and dashboards. 
    • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate meetings with government officials, internal and external.
    • Assist Executive Leadership, Senior Management, Program Managers, Project Managers, Functional Managers and customers with drafting communications and notifications, as required. 
    • Cultivate, develop and strengthen new effective, professional working relationships between internal and external stakeholders, management and media. 
    • Perform event communications, including coordinating events, scheduling calendar invites and sending email communications, announcements and notifications; coordinate logistics and on-site event support





    • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of communications experience
    • Security clearance required
