  • Overview

    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a qualified candidate for a C-RAM Database Administrator III position. Administers, tests, and implements COLTS and other Army databases, and applies knowledge of database management systems to coordinate changes to computer databases. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama, and is contingent on contract award.

    Responsibilities

    Provides SME services for database management and database operations of the PD C-RAM database that uses the Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Software Product called Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS).

    • SME services include knowledge and interfaces associated with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) Data Interchanges.
    • Tasks include hosting of software on Network Servers, Web-services, Beta Testing of Software upgrades, development of training packages for software updates and knowledge to improve use of database to meet PD C-RAM management requirements.
    • Provides SME Helpdesk services that include managing user accounts, answering user questions, performing user related database task and expertise on PD C-RAM Business Processes utilized in the COLTS database.
    • Develops and executes instructional documentation with step by step processes for training and maintaining the COLTS database in PD C-RAM program management.
    • Assists in planning, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
    • May lead and direct the work of others.

    Qualifications

    • Formal technical training, and at least 10 years of maintenance experience in DoD operations, concepts, and procedures with an understanding of maintenance techniques. 
    • Preferred qualification is Master’s degree and 5 years of experience
    • Candidate must have US military service (any branch) or equivalent contracting experience.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Knowledge of selected computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • CONUS travel may be required
    • DoD security clearance
