  • Overview

    BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified IT/Database Specialist in support of the Department of the Navy (DON), Office of Naval Research (ONR) Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) program. This full-time position will be located in the Northern Virginia area and is contingent on contract award.


    • Provide database and configuration management of the portal used for the submission of the white papers, quad charts and full proposals in response to the Navy portion of the OSD RIF BAA
    • Assist in reviewing, updating, and maintaining information related to the DoN RIF public website, ensuring information is accurate and current
    • Assisting in all approval processes for changes and additional websites with DoN RIF information
    • Assist with the RIF Program Office’s file server structure and nomenclature for effective and efficient document storage and retrieval
    • Develop  audit scenarios and execute quality control testing on completed database components
    • Participate in the development of educational/training tools and materials
    • Develop and ensure accurate content on the DON RIF website
    • Coordinate, compile and prepare process documents
    • Provides technical and end-user support


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in one, or more, of the following areas: database design and management; government processes; generation of presentation materials and reports; document archiving and document preparation
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Project
    • Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills to efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities
    • Experience working with DoD or DON Technology Organizations a plus
    • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; current clearance preferred
