    BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified Research Analyst in support of the Department of the Navy (DON), Office of Naval Research (ONR) Technology Transfer (T2) and Domestic Preparedness Support Initiative (DPSI) programs. This full-time position will be located in the Northern Virginia area and is contingent on contract award.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the identification of DoD technology, items, and equipment that have the potential to enhance public safety and improve homeland security
    • Provide programmatic data analysis and develop presentation material for DON senior management
    • Gather agreements from the technology transfer community and other stakeholders on prioritization of business requirements, definition of project scope, and definition of key project dates
    • Support the planning, coordination, attendance and documentation of local, regional and national meetings to include exhibit management, marketing, preparing event materials, and post-conference activities
    • Coordinate, draft, compile and prepare staff material, letters, memorandums, reports, or other documents related to the T2 and DPSI Programs
    • Maintain appropriate records of transition efforts
    • Gather and document lessons learned and success stories
    • Coordinate, compile and prepare process documents
    • Develop brochures or other program marketing publications
    • Develop and ensure accurate content on the DON T2 website
    • Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate program effectiveness

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience
    • Knowledge of the DoD Domestic Preparedness Support Initiative(DPSI) a plus
    • Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a dynamic and changing environment
    • Strong organizational skills to efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities
    • Experience supporting the DON specifically is a plus
    • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; current clearance preferred
