  • Overview

    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a Sr. Configuration & Validation Technician to support the US Army and SoSE&I with Configuration Management and Quality Assurance. This is an onsite position at Fort Bliss, Texas; White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico; and the local travel area. Travel to other performance locations CONUS and OCONUS may be required.


    • The Technician will organize, lead, and supervise quality assurance and configuration management activities throughout the organization.
    • The Technician will evaluate performed processes and work products against process descriptions, standards and procedures.
    • In this position, the Technician will ensure that planned processes are implemented to the project and satisfy the requirements of the project and organizational policies.
    • The Technician may be asked to provide technical support to Government teams for planning and executing field events to include troubleshooting, identifying root cause analysis, and resolving platform issues.
    • The Technician will verify equipment repairs and/or equipment replacements performed in the field of operations, maintain established configurations, and close out trouble tickets once repairs are resolved.
    • The Technician will identify configuration items, components, and other work products to be placed under configuration management and control their baseline.
    • The Technician will work closely with the Engineering Functional Line to release baselines for Design Reviews, internal use, and for delivery to the customer.
    • The Technician will track and control changes to work products by establishing and maintaining records.
    • The Technician will support Government Configuration Management Boards, Action Officer Review Boards, and Engineering Review Boards to provide technical insight based on configuration changes proposed by the stakeholder community.


    • This job requires technical training [military and/or vocational technical] and a minimum of eight plus years’ work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Some skills required for this job are verbal and written communication during integration of SoS on Army Tactical Platforms, verifying network integrity for the integrated system and providing technical support to soldiers while they execute NIE and JWA events.
    • Experience with SoS engineering, network integration, test, quality control, safety, and training preferred.
    • This job requires a senior level of proficiency to apply significant job related experience.
    • Current DoD security clearance is required.
