    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a motivated, detail oriented, and experienced Engineering Technician for an onsite position at Fort Bliss, Texas; White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico; and the local travel area. Travel to other performance locations (Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; the National Capitol Region; and Warren, Michigan) and OCONUS may be required.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of vendor products and equipment. Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
    • Expertise integrating and supporting Army Tactical C4ISR systems and vehicle platforms. Specific expertise in Lower Tactical Internet and Software Defined Radios and networking waveforms like WNW, SRW, and SINCGARS.
    • Understanding of Army networked operations, mission threads, unit organization and architectures.
    • Ability to develop system of systems integration plans to include developing modification designs for new equipment installation.
    • Experience performing Operational testing to include initialization, configuration and troubleshooting of tactical networking systems during test events.
    • Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining technical data packages for changes to network and configuration drawings, interface diagrams, and installation and build instructions across multiple systems and components, and configuration baselines.
    • Understanding of Army Tactical C4ISR systems and Army vehicle platforms and their variant configurations 

    Qualifications

    • This job requires technical training [military and/or vocational technical] a minimum of four plus years’ work related experience.
    • Some skills required for this job are verbal and written communication during integration of SOS on Army Tactical Platforms, verifying network integrity for the integrated system and providing technical support to soldiers while they execute NIE and JWA events.
    • Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of craft, vocational or administrative skills, and methods taught in specialized training and/or learned through formal apprenticeships.
    • In relation to other jobs in the same functions, this job requires a basic level of proficiency to apply significant job related experience. This job may assist others as a lead expert.
    • Current DoD security clearance is required.
