    BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, has an opening for an Air Force Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Technology Analyst to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  The Air Force SBIR Program is designed to foster technological innovation by small businesses. The goals of the program are to foster participation by minority and disadvantaged firms in technology innovation; facilitate technology insertion into Air Force acquisition programs; and increase private sector commercialization of Air Force R&D.  This position will act as a technical resource to support the Air Force SBIR Commercialization Readiness Program (CRP) working with Air Force, Major Defense Contractor, and small businesses subject matter experts in planning and facilitating transition of SBIR technologies into Air Force programs.

    Responsibilities

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

    • Assist with development, documentation, and facilitate execution of AFLCMC annual SBIR topic generation process
    • Promote awareness of Air Force CRP to enable SBIR transition opportunities
    • Leverage background in the acquisition process to assist in identifying SBIR project results with high potential for transition to Air Force Programs of Record (PoR) or into operational use as part of a prototype system
    • Meet regularly with AFLCMC Programs to gather and understand technical and/or capability needs of Air Force customers and PoRs
    • Establish and facilitate enhanced business/transition planning activities
    • Gather information and collaborate with AFLCMC program management offices, Air Force Research Labs, major defense contractors, and small business representatives
    • Support for and participation in technology exchange meetings and workshops as required

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 10 years’ experience supporting Air Force Program Executive Offices (PEOs) or AFRL Technology Directorates
    • 5 years’ experience supporting Air Force SBIR/STTR programs’ policies, procedures, technology transitions, TIMs, data, etc.
    • Technical/engineering expertise
    • Background in the acquisition process
    • Excellent communicator willing to work in a team environment
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Competence with MS Office tools
    • Ability to develop and execute strategic and operational plans and policy
    • Availability to travel as required to support SBIR and CRP objectives
    • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance required
