  • Overview

    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a Program Manager to support blast injury research.  This position will be located at MRMC, Fort Detrick, Maryland, and is contingent on contract award.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical consulting support to Science and Technology clientele.
    • Leverage scientific knowledge and expertise to support efforts to facilitate collaboration and promote awareness.
    • Respond to taskers related to blast injury research.
    • Manage reach back team of subject matter experts on key deliverables, author reports and briefings for client use, facilitate and support working group, meetings, and symposiums, and attend Command-wide meetings on behalf of the client.

    Qualifications

    • PhD degree or equivalent level degree in biomedical sciences or bioengineering discipline
    • 20+ years of experience in DoD research, development, test & evaluation, acquisition, or program management (programmatic and scientific assessments, infrastructure, resource issues, strategic planning, technical issues, or business procedures related to military medical research, development, and acquisition activities) 
    • Ability to maintain liaison with other Army organizations and within and outside the DoD
    • Ability to formulate and implement project plans, assessments, and reviews

    • Ability to work in teams or independently conduct analyses, review literature, draft findings, respond to taskers, and create briefings on behalf of clients or command
    • Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint) and analytical tools

    •  

      Knowledge of the research life cycle, government agencies that focus on blast research, and scientific portfolio management  and experience with supporting US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command or Congressional Directed Medical Research Programs preferred
