    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer (Engineer II) for an onsite position at Fort Bliss, Texas, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), with travel to CONUS and OCONUS. 

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of Army test network infrastructure and applications.
    • Update existing network enginnering designs for platform configurations designated to participate in a Network Integration Exercise (NIE)/Joint Warrior Assessment (NIE/JWA).
    • Design NIE/JWA systems on Army Tactical Platforms as specified in the Horseblanket (HB). To accomplish this task, there may be a need to repurpose government furnished equipment.
    • Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections and measurements and update the Government provided Functional Checkout Checklist.
    • Coordinate with system Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to support Platform Integration.
    • Provide technical expertise to the HB and Transport Design (TD) development, coordination, and refinement.
    • Brief Government officials on all Platform and Network Integration constraints and limitations and identify work-around or other solutions that will enable affected systems to participate in the NIE/JWA.
    • Update Internet Protocol (IP) Cut Sheet revisions
    • Support the Configuration Management with resolutions by updating Trouble Tickets within the Single Interface to the Field (SIF) with technical insight and system troubleshooting.



    Qualifications

    • Current DoD security clearance
    • A bachelor's degree in a specialized professional engineering curriculum plus one full academic year of graduate education in the specialized field; or a bachelor's degree in a specialized professional engineering curriculum plus 3 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in a professional engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience
    • Knowledge of IP networking and protocols, LAN/WAN infrastructures, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, network security, data backup/recovery systems
    • Solid understanding of current network security design best practices is preferred
