    BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a dynamic Strategic Communications / Public Affairs Specialist for a fast-paced government client.  This full-time position is located at the Pentagon (Crystal City, VA.)

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic communications products and plans as well as media outreach activities in support of an organization's responsibilities and objectives.
    • Coordinate media activity and external outreach.
    • Perform communications research and analysis on top issues.
    • Prepare briefings and Read Aheads for Senior leadership.
    • Attend meetings and provide support for events that advance the organization’s priorities.
    • Document media trend and provide in-depth trend analysis.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and 1 - 3 years of experience 
    • Strong social media skills and the ability to develop and carry out media communication strategies and plans using both traditional and new media strategies.
    • Must possess excellent customer relations skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with and for senior-level DoD/Army officials and assist them in the process of communicating the organization’s message.
    • Excellent professional writing skills and verbal communications skills are a must.
    • Demonstrated competence in research and planning skills to support outreach activities.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and track tasks, and develop well-written business correspondence and reports. 
    • Current DoD security clearance
