Overview

BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking a Travel Coordinator to support travel needs for a Federal research fellowship program.  Candidates should be detail-oriented and experienced in scheduling and tracking hotel, flight, and car rentals; preparing itineraries; assisting with visa processing and other travel related documentation; coordinating and tracking relocation travel costs; ensuring travel is approved and conducted in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).  This full-time position will be located in Vienna, VA, and is contingent on contract award.  

Responsibilities

  • Manage the contract travel account for a high volume of meeting/conference travel plans and relocation plans -- administer travel booking system, document and reconcile travel expenses
  • Receive, process, and verify all travel-related expenses and generate invoices
  • Generate reports breaking down expenses into contract-specified subgroups
  • Track contract year budget, actual costs to date, and anticipated future costs
  • Coordinate government approval prior to incurring travel costs
  • Ensure all travel is conducted in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
  • Support bi-weekly billing periods

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years’ experience with tracking expenses, analyzing travel information, and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Superb communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Concur Travel booking system, and JTR are highly desirable.
