Overview

BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking an Automotive Performance Testing Technician Managers to support our Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) customer at the Cold Region Test Center Facility on Fort Greely, AK. 

 

The selected candidate will have experience working with and a deep understanding of armored wheeled vehicles and C4ISR systems, respective protocols of automotive performance testing, and familiarization with and understanding of test schedules and plans utilized at the various site locations. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with test site personnel and JPO JLTV to provide information involving the automotive performance, reliability and ballistic testing of a new tactical wheeled vehicles.
  • Communicate with test site personnel and JPO JLTV regarding incidents that occur at the test sites, such as: failures, accidents, and test results. These systems under test are essentially armored wheeled vehicles composed of assemblages of largely commercial and modified commercial components which are similar to existing armored vehicles presently in the military’s inventory, such as: Up Armored HMMWVs, MRAPs and MATVs.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance activities and provide daily status test reports, in Government format.
  • Attend daily test site meetings and document significant issues or questions within the daily status test reports.
  • Attend test events, for all key performance parameter (KPP), key system attribute (KSA), and designated high visibility and high priority events, and provide regular status updates within the daily status test reports.
  • In the event of accidents or catastrophic vehicle failures, travel to the site to provide an assessment to PM Test
  • Review detailed test plans and test schedules developed by ATEC and monitor testing for deviations from the plans and schedules.
  • Attend PM Test Update Briefs (TUB) via teleconference and provide status updates regarding testing at TUBs.
  • Attend monthly PM Test Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) meetings and weekly PM Test team meetings via teleconference in order to maintain sufficient knowledge of the testing to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide recommendations, status updates, and technical input.
  • Attend Corrective Action Review Team (CART) meetings in order to maintain sufficient knowledge of the testing to serve as a SME and provide recommendations, status updates, and technical input.
  • Attend monthly Scoring Conferences via teleconference in order to maintain sufficient knowledge of the testing to serve as a SME and provide recommendations, status updates, and technical input.
