Overview

BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking a Program Support Analyst for an onsite opportunity at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland in support of the Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program. Work involves a variety of duties in a professional environment supporting programmatic and administrative tasks in planning, budgeting, management, and execution of government programs and initiatives. The positions require excellent customer service skills in working closely with government clients, small businesses, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Army SBIR PM in the management and execution of the SBIR program, to include program budget tracking and reconciliation; data collection and reporting; and interacting with small businesses and research institutions participating in the programs.
  • Acquire and maintain final technical reports and non-proprietary summary reports for all completed SBIR projects
  • Monitor and audit records required for proposals, source selection, evaluation, debriefs, protest actions, Congressional inquiries, ongoing and historical contracts, funding actions, and small business profiles.
  • Ensure contact information for government participating organizations, SBIR Program Management Office, and small businesses awardees are up to date and accurate. 
  • Provide helpdesk assistance to small business (e.g. proposal development and submission activities) during Phase I solicitation pre-release and open period.
  • Gathering relevant information; format materials in accordance with guidance; submit reports and ensure delivered reports are accepted by the requesting organization.
  • Assist in identifying and notifying participants, assembling meeting materials, executing the meeting, supporting the prioritization of Phase I projects.
  • Upon notification of the selected proposals from the research organizations, support distribution of contract funds to sponsoring organizations, and the collection of pertinent contract information to meet internal tracking and external reporting requirements.
  • Synthesize existing program statistics, commercialization results, success stories, and other relevant material in PowerPoint, as required.
  • Collect, store, validate, and report relevant statistics for program monitoring, assessment, analysis, and external reporting activities for program assessment and outreach activities. Manage and present data necessary to facilitate SBIR program decisions.
  • Maintain written document of standard procedures for the Army SBIR program to provide quick answers to common questions, and update as needed to keep current with regulations and Army/DoD policies or procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and at least one year of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities
  • Experience supporting military services or defense organizations is a plus
  • Current DoD security clearance
