The Senior Training Specialist supports Total Package Fielding and Sustainment training for the MRAP program. Is accountable to the Training Manager, and performs all functional duties independently or as part of an integrated team. 


Develops training programs to improve individual and organizational performance. Conducts formal OPNET and FLMNET to train unit personnel to operate and maintain their vehicles, including hands-on practical exercises to increase transfer of knowledge.


Post training; creates and submits course completion reports that include AARs, attendance records, completion certificates, and instructor evaluations.


Identifies opportunities or implements changes to training processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of quality control standards and training disciplines. 


The Senior Training Specialist will have 10+ years of experience in training and/or maintenance and welding, and a MA/MS degree [or an addtional 12 more years of experience if candidate does not have a MA/MS degree]. 


Training personnel shall have successfully completed the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS) Course 5K-SI5K/012-SQI8, or through a public or private civilian certification program, or documented contractor certification program. 

Instructors certified for Wrecker training shall hold a current CLASS A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Wrecker Instructors must also have either and have 3 years of Wrecker Experience OR shall have obtained ONE of the following certifications:
  a. Skill Identifier of Hotel 8 (H8) from the Army.
  b. Military Occupational Specialty 3536 (MOS 3536)


Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret security clearance required.
