Overview

BRTRC Federal Solutions is seeking Pre-Clinical SMEs to support a government client in Washington, DC.  These positions are contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Support Program Office(s) as a subject matter expert in relevant field of experience(s) for vaccine, therapeutic, and/or antimicrobial advanced development; clinical and/or regulatory policy; and/or manufacturing capacity construction
  • Provide guidance documents and option papers on key issues related to the area(s) identified;
  • Review contract proposal and related documents;
  • Provide senior-level briefing(s)
  • Prepare regular reports to management on various technical issues identified.
  • Provide project development level portfolio management and oversight;
  • Develop, implement, and consciously improve Total Life Cycle Cost (TLCC) efforts;
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Pre-Clinical through Phase 1 antibacterial development
  • Provide support to to the Combating Antibiotic- Resistant Bacteria (CARB) Accelerator program, and Antibacterial Program
  • Support further collaboration with the NIAID in antimicrobial development
  • Evaluate potential antimicrobial products for scientific feasibility and entrance into the portfolio that aligns with strategic priorities

Qualifications

  • At least 10 - 20 years of pre-clinical and/or antimicrobial development experience
  • Experience leading (e.g. Head of Preclinical Development) early stage drug development products (Lead optimization through Phase 1).
  • Antimicrobial experience including nontraditional antimicrobial approaches preferred

     

  • Understanding of antimicrobial, R&D, licensing, and use required. 
  • Industry experience preferred (or extensive industry contacts) with program strategy and planning experience
