Overview

BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified Program Manager in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory  Science and Technology Fellowship Program (STFP). This full-time position will be located in the Northern Virginia area and is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, supervise and govern all aspects of the project supporting programmatic review of scientific research applications
  • Establish criteria for AF Research Advisors and topics
  • Establish and manage scientific and engineering review panels
  • Develop and execute an outreach plan and processes to attract a candidate pool of scientific and engineering research experts
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Manage all logistical processes for on-site research associates
  • Serve as the interface with the USG Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with USAF Focal Points
  • Management of several subcontractors supporting the program
  • Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Perform IPRs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Business or technical degree, with at least 6 years of experience supporting large, complex customers
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities
  • Experience in DOD acquisition or Science and Technology activities is a plus
  • Experience supporting the Air Force and AFOSR specifically is a plus
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; current clearance preferred
