Overview

BRTRC Federal Solutions, an established government contractor, is seeking a Mechanical / Electronic Maintenance Technician for a full time opportunity located in Kuwait. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in facilitating communication between the route clearance company, support contractors and PM-CEH regarding current threats, and recommendations for new policies, procedures, regulations, requirements, or expectations.  
  • Utilize schematics and wiring diagrams to perform fault isolation of electronic/hydraulic components.
  • Travel to outlying FOBs/COPs to respond to calls for corrective and scheduled maintenance.
  • Conduct training for Route Clearance Systems operators if necessary.
  • Applies institutional knowledge, acquired through years of direct military support, to interface, integrate, upgrade, and maintain systems to component level using DC, AC, digital and thermodynamic theory, and maintenance skills.
  • Perform electronics/electro-mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on DoD Systems, often under field conditions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and upkeep of systems
  • Conduct training for designated personnel

Qualifications

  • Current DoD security clearance and valid U.S. Passport
  • The ability to successfully complete all pre-deployment requirements, as necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field), and three years of related experience,
    • Or an Associate Degree with seven years of related experience and/or training;
    • Or 11 years of related experience and/or training
  • Extensive knowledge or experience in one or more of the following technical areas: US Military intelligence, surveillance, or reconnaissance systems, processes, functions and organizations at tactical, operational or strategic levels; or advanced command and control or telecommunications  functions, organizations, systems and techniques including computer and communications systems at tactical, operational and strategic level.
  • Considerable knowledge of the IED hazards and safety precautions.
  • Experience in fielding (NET) support for the assigned site in order to deliver professional fielding and sustainment services as required.
  • Considerable knowledge of Route Clearance Systems’ system Installation, Troubleshooting and maintenance repair (s), i.e. electronic and mechanical components
  • Mastery of U.S. Army maintenance support systems and concepts
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of DoD contracting policies and procedures
  • Instructor Qualifications
  • Route Clearance Experience
