Overview

BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant in support of a DoD client. The position is a full-time position and will be located onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.  Current TS/SCI required to start.

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain responsibility for the critical organization, prioritization, and scheduling for the product manager and other senior managers and maintain continuity of office processes in their absence.
  • Execute independent decisions within established guidelines and perform a full range of administrative services, including being the front office administrator to greet visitors, managing a dynamic online calendar, scheduling meetings and conference calls with senior management and external organizations, executing visitor security protocols, supporting office equipment and IT systems, and facilitating meetings.
  • Arrange meeting logistics and invitations, organize and maintain filing systems, answer telephones, participate in clerical duties, including faxing, copying, and mailing classified documents, review office e-mail and military message traffic for internal routing, and prepare formal military correspondence. Complete expense and travel orders online for senior personnel using government systems for all staff, support complex travel arrangements, and serve as the team expert on matters pertaining to administrative procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with providing executive-level (GS-13+) administrative support to a DoD office, including Army experience with using Microsoft Outlook for managing calendars and scheduling meetings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with the Military, including work in a civilian or contractor capacity.
  • Experience in working with a variety of IT systems and in training other personnel to use office applications or Web sites.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint-Experience with preparing briefings and reports appropriate for senior government executives.
  • Ability to proofread documents for format, grammar, and punctuation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay strict attention to detail.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent customer service skills-AA or AS degree preferred; BA or BS degree a plus.
  • TS/SCI is required.
